Oskari Oikarinen pakinoi viime Q:ssa taidokkaasti kalastamisesta. Huolimatta hänen vuosien mittaisesta kokemuksestaan niin suolaisissa kuin makeissa vesissä jäi kysymys pyörimään kaikkien huulille.
Miksei jalokala tartu koukkuun?
Roskakalaa katiskaan ui kyllä. Syötin ollessa riittävän kookas ja kalastuspoukaman tarpeeksi mallasjuoman samentama on lieroa imeskeleviä särkiä ja säynäviä ylimäärin. Näissä likaisissa vesissä kuitenkaan harvoin nappaa sitä todellista herkkua. Minne karkaavat siiat ja nieriät? Entä kuinka taltutetaan eteläisten merien miekkakala?
Uskon, että kalastajat ovat itse aiheuttaneet tuhonsa. Jos kaunis ja kimaltava jalokala olisi käyvä maltaisessa koskessa kiinni vieheeseen, näyteltäisiin sen kylkiä heti viereisille onkijoille. He taas kateudessa haukkuisivat sen alimittaiseksi, värivirheelliseksi tai milloin miksikin. Tämä tuntuu uhkaavalta jalokalasta, joka ei halua tulla simputetuksi.
Toisaalta jalokala on pilalle passattu. Siimamiesten kilpavarustelu on lisääntynyt. Saaliille kelpaavat enää hienoimmat vieheet ja tyylikkäimmät houkuttelutekniikat. Ketä kiinnostaa kalastaa, jos tietää, että saadakseen tirisevän kuuman lounaan, on nähtävä viikkojen edestä vaivaa, ja siltikin edessä on todennäköisesti tyhjä lautanen.
Allekirjoittanut ehdottaakin kaikille jalokaloille kalastetuksitulemiskiintiöitä. Käykää kaikki sammet ja meritaimenet joskus onkeen, jotta Suomen herrat eivät enää näkisi nälkää tai joutuisi syljeskelemään suustaan särjen niin monia ruotoja. Kohtuudella kaikille.
