FC Hallux on lääkiksen jalkapallokerho, jonka toimintaan saavat osallistua kaikki halukkaat. Hallux osallistuu vuosittain sekä syksyllä että keväällä yliopiston jalkapallo- ja futsalsarjoihin. Lisäksi Hallux osallistuu vuosittain eri lääketieteellisten tiedekuntien väliseen jalkapalloturnaukseen, jos vain saadaan tarpeeksi pelaajia mukaan. Erityisesti jalkapallosarjoissa menestystäkin on tullut – viime vuoden sekä syys- että kevätsarjasta saavutettiin toinen sija.
Hallux lähti tähän vuoteen vaikeassa tilanteessa – suuri osa joukkueen runkopelaajista aloitti kuudennen opiskeluvuotensa, ja valmistuu näin ollen pian. Muutenkaan pelaajia ei ollut liikaa – esimerkiksi syksyn alussa järjestettyyn lääkisten väliseen turnaukseen ei saatu joukkuetta kasaan. Pelaajia piti siis saada lisää, ja odotukset kohdistuivat etenkin tämän vuoden alfoihin. Jalkapallosarjan ensimmäisessä ottelussa tilanne näytti synkkääkin synkemmältä, kun paikalla ei ollut tarpeeksi pelaajia edes yhteen kentälliseen – koko ottelu jouduttiin pelaamaan vajaalla. Toisesta ottelusta lähtien tilanne on ollut kuitenkin toinen. Alfat ovatkin osallistuneet nyt erittäin isolla joukolla Halluxin tapahtumiin, ja syksyn aikana nähtiin otteluissa jopa enemmän pelaajia kuin itse olin koskaan aiemmin nähnyt Halluxin peleissä.
Omalla tavallaan syksy onkin tähän mennessä ollut Halluxille menestystarina – pelaajatilanne on paljon valoisampi, ja sitä kautta saadaan myös parempia tuloksia peleissä. Tahdonkin nyt kiittää alfoja aktiivisesta osallistumisesta Halluxin toimintaan ja rohkaista myös muita osallistumaan rohkeasti Halluxin tapahtumiin!
